ABOUT

Louis Siegel earned his graduate degree, Doctor of Medicine with Distinction in Research, from the University Of Rochester School Of Medicine in 1976. He holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University. His other notable post-graduate education includes completing the Stand-up Comedy Course at Sarasota’s McCurdy’s Comedy Institute which required performance before a live audience. He left his audience dead, if not moderately ill.

In 1979, Dr. Lou founded what became one of the largest internal medicine practices in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Lou has spoken before many audiences on topics as diverse as personal techniques for surviving heath care and techniques to prevent heart injury during open-heart surgery in children. He is an inventor, entrepreneur and patent holder. Dr. Siegel has many publications to his credit and has spoken at major medical meetings, including the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association as well as to local organizations.

Dr. Lou, now retired, but carrying a Florida license, has focused his healthcare weblog on ‘outing’ his inside medical knowledge to the public. He now views his 30 years of practice as being a health care ‘mole’ for society.

Dr. Lou blends humor, when able, with a practical approach to teach you methods for surviving healthcare no matter what your healthcare system. He will try to raise your healthcare awareness, inform you of statistics revealing the serious state of decline of healthcare delivery today, and arm you with strategies to help you avoid becoming one of those statistics.
